Seminar Title: How Can Our Seniors Develop Purpose and Meaning In Their Lives: A Guide Toward Treatment.
Learning Objectives:
Participants will be able to Identify the psychological, social, and environmental factors that contribute to a sense of purpose and meaning among older adults.
Participants will be able to assess older adults for risk factors associated with diminishing purpose, including social isolation, grief, retirement adjustment using a strengths based approach.
Participants will be able to apply evidence informed social work interventions and therapeutic strategies that promote resilience, engagement and meaningful activity to enhance quality of life and emotional well being.
